The accident occurred on January 18th near Adamuz, when two high-speed trains derailed. As a consequence of this incident, high-speed rail service between Madrid and cities such as Cordoba, Seville, Malaga, and Huelva will be suspended for the entire day on Monday. An investigation into the cause of the disaster is currently underway.
