Railway workers restored movement through the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region, which experienced a massive Russian attack on the night of August 5. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the evening address of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the president, rescuers and repair teams worked in Lozova throughout the day. 'More than two dozen Shaheds – specifically targeting civilian infrastructure. This is a specific tactic of terror – Russian terror. They direct several dozen Shaheds at one city, at one of our communities,' said the head of state.

The head of our state added that two people died in Lozova, and 13 others were injured, including two children. In addition, the railway infrastructure was damaged.

It should be noted that during the night, Russians carried out a massive shelling of the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region, using strike drones, resulting in more than 30 hits. Rescuers reported that buildings were destroyed and six fire hotspots emerged.

Moreover, Russian occupiers are using a new tactic of mining territories in the Sumy region, utilizing drones for this purpose. The regional military administration reported that Ukrainian defenders shot down an enemy drone, which had cassette mines PTM-3 attached to its wings.

As a result of the massive Russian attack, the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region was affected, however, the efforts of rescuers and repair teams allowed the restoration of railway communication through this city. At the same time, Ukrainian military forces in the east of the country are facing new challenges due to changes in the tactics of Russian occupiers, who use drones to mine territories. For Ukraine, this is a new stage of struggle on the front, requiring adaptation and new security measures.
