The Defense Council of the Zaporizhia region has approved the procedure for remote inspection of residential buildings in areas of active hostilities. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov.

'Recently, the government provided us with this opportunity for the areas of active hostilities, and now cities like Orikhiv, Hulyaipole, Stepnogirsk can receive certificates for destroyed property to purchase new housing. There are already results – 23 certificates have been issued in the Orikhiv community, and three in the Hulyaipil community. We will analyze the experience and make changes to the legislation. Remote inspection requires interaction with law enforcement and the military. The algorithm has been developed.'

According to Fedorov, compensation in areas of active hostilities can only be obtained for housing that has been damaged by 80%. He also noted that receiving certificates does not mean automatic receipt of funds coming from European partners.

Better times are coming when the population receives support during the war through remote inspections and the possibility of receiving compensation for destroyed housing. Regional authorities are actively working to simplify this process and ensure proper living conditions for people in a conflict situation.
