The salary of workers in one profession in Ukraine can differ by more than two times depending on the region. The largest gap was recorded by OLX Work among facade workers: in Transcarpathia, the median salary reaches 115,000 UAH, while in Mykolaiv region it is 45,000 UAH. Overall, salaries in construction rose by 22% over the year. This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing OLX Work.

The largest difference in salaries between regions is observed in the category of “Construction / finishing work”. The absolute leader is facade workers. In Transcarpathia, they are offered a median of 115,000 UAH, while in Mykolaiv region it is 45,000 UAH. The gap is 70,000 UAH, or 155.6%.
For painters, the difference also exceeds 100%. In Lviv region, the median salary is 94,250 UAH, while in Chernivtsi it is 45,750 UAH. The difference reaches 48,500 UAH.
Tilers are offered the most in Kyiv region - 107,500 UAH. In Poltava region, the median salary for this profession is 52,500 UAH, meaning the difference reaches 55,000 UAH, or almost 105%.
An even more noticeable absolute level of payment is for masons in Lviv region - 115,000 UAH. In Zhytomyr region, specialists in the same profession are offered 57,500 UAH. The salary varies exactly twofold.
A similar situation exists with plasterers. In Kyiv, their median salary reaches 100,000 UAH, while in Zaporizhia region it is 50,000 UAH.
These figures continue the trend observed throughout 2026. As of last summer, some blue-collar professions outpaced office jobs in terms of pay, with plasterers and facade workers offered over 70,000 UAH.
Where drivers, dentists, and electricians are paid the most
Significant regional differences exist not only in construction. Chat operators in Ivano-Frankivsk region can expect to earn a median of 95,000 UAH, while in Zaporizhia it is 50,000 UAH. The difference is 90%.
Long-haul truck drivers are offered the most in Khmelnytskyi region - 87,500 UAH. In Sumy region, the figure is 50,000 UAH, which is 37,500 UAH less.
Dentists earn a median of 95,000 UAH in Kirovohrad region compared to 57,500 UAH in Zhytomyr. Sales department heads in Vinnytsia region are offered 110,000 UAH, while in Zhytomyr it is 68,750 UAH.
An unusual situation has arisen with electricians in construction. In the frontline Sumy region, the median salary reaches 72,500 UAH, while in Chernivtsi it is 45,000 UAH. The difference is more than 61%.
Auto body repairers in Kyiv can earn 90,000 UAH compared to 57,500 UAH in Kharkiv region. For factory electricians, the highest figure among comparable regions is recorded in Kirovohrad - 79,702 UAH, and the lowest in Mykolaiv - 52,500 UAH.
Less difference is observed among factory mechanics: 80,000 UAH in Volyn compared to 72,500 UAH in Transcarpathia. For welders in construction, the gap is only 8.3%: 65,000 UAH in Ivano-Frankivsk compared to 60,000 UAH in Kyiv.
OLX Work explains regional differences primarily by the safety situation and local demand for specific specialists. Salaries are also influenced by the shortage of qualified workers. Employers are already forced to raise salaries due to shortages, especially in construction, logistics, and among technical professions.
