School Nutrition Reform: Ukraine Attracts Millions of Euros for Kitchen Factories

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Maryana Betza, participated in a working meeting on the results and prospects of the school nutrition reform, which took place on December 16, 2025, with the participation of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.


The event was chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Julia Svyrydenko. Government representatives, central leaders, regional and city heads, as well as representatives of various organizations and the diplomatic corps were present.


Maryana Betza noted the important role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in international support and cooperation for the development of school nutrition and called on international partners to continue this support.

International partners provide financial assistance, in particular for the construction of kitchen factories in Ukraine. Maryana Betza also emphasized the willingness to share experience with other countries and urged for further support of the school nutrition reform.


Discussing the implementation of the reform and future plans, participants discussed the role of international partnership in ensuring the sustainability of reforms in a challenging time for the country.
