The government allocated millions to Sumy region: what the funds will be used for communities

The Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Ryabikin, along with the Deputy Minister of Finance Dmytro Samonenko, visited the communities of Sumy region. The purpose of the visit was to identify the needs of frontline communities and to develop further measures to support them. Special attention was paid to the protection of energy facilities, their restoration, and the provision of alternative energy.



“Our top priority is to ensure that the energy infrastructure operates stably. This directly affects the lives of people in frontline areas. Sumy region is constantly experiencing shelling and risks, so the communities need our support. We continue to work in this direction,” emphasized Oleksiy Ryabikin.



Meeting on supporting frontline communities



During the meeting on supporting frontline communities, a number of pressing issues were highlighted, such as expanding assistance to internally displaced persons, improving recovery programs after destruction, and increasing funding for communities in the next year. Support for energy facilities and compensation for citizens for land plots was also discussed.



Overview of energy infrastructure



During the visit, the main energy infrastructure facilities were inspected, several projects were completed, and additional funds were allocated to support the frontline communities of Sumy region. Work to improve network reliability and implement programs is actively underway.
