Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach visited Kharkiv region to discuss passenger transport issues in the frontline area. Together with representatives of communities and carriers, it was decided how to ensure stable and safe transportation in wartime.
Serhiy Derkach emphasized the importance of access to transport for residents of the region, especially in frontline areas where the situation changes rapidly. He also stressed the need to develop additional solutions to ensure the mobility of the population and the resilience of communities.
Main issues discussed during the meeting:
- the quick opening of new routes in frontline communities;
- the implementation of digital services for passenger transport;
- the use of public transport for humanitarian purposes;
- the compensation of discounted travel through electronic cards;
- counteracting illegal carriers and controlling the technical condition of transport.
During the visit, points of invincibility and a transit center in Lozova were also visited. The Ministry of Development and the Kharkiv Regional State Administration will continue to work together on updating routes, implementing digital technologies, and improving the safety of passenger transport in the region.
Currently, the acceptance of documents from carriers for participation in the competition for route services in frontline communities is ongoing.
