Recently, a new tugboat "Captain Ushakov" sank in Russia, which was launched just three years ago. The Center for Counteracting Disinformation notes that the incident occurred during the ship's completion and indicates systemic problems within the RF Navy. This was reported by "Glavkom" with reference to the CCD.
As known, the tug leaned to the starboard side due to the failure of auxiliary mechanisms. Despite attempts to save the vessel, it sank completely.
The center emphasizes that this case is yet another confirmation of Russia's inability to maintain its fleet. As examples of such problems, the CCD cites:
- Delays in the modernization of the anti-submarine ship "Admiral Chabanenko".
- The effective retirement of the aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov".
- The cancellation of the main naval parade in St. Petersburg, which was supposed to take place on July 27.

On the evening of August 8, the tug leaned, and emergency services from the city and the enterprise's duty services were working at the scene.
The sinking of the tug "Captain Ushakov" indicates serious problems in Russia's naval fleet, which is confirmed by incidents with other vessels. Authorities must pay more attention to the support and safety of their naval forces to avoid similar situations in the future.
