The suspect in Parubiy's murder fled to Khmelnytskyi region
A resident of Lviv, 52-year-old Mykhailo Stselnykov, suspected of murdering the former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and people’s deputy Andriy Parubiy, did not flee to the Khmelnytskyi region by accident. This was reported by the publication 'Glavkom' in the material 'The Fake Drama of Parubiy’s Killer'.
According to 'Glavkom', local law enforcement agencies found out that Stselnykov was hiding in a house near Bakota in the Kamianets-Podilskyi district, and after his arrest, there were plans to smuggle him across the Dniester River abroad.
'Given the collected evidence, the legal qualification of the criminal offense has been changed to part 1 of article 263 (illegal handling of weapons) and article 112 (encroachment on the life of a people's deputy of Ukraine committed in connection with their official or public activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine', the statement says.
The Halytskyi District Court of Lviv placed Stselnykov in custody on September 2, and the Office of the Prosecutor General reclassified the actions of the suspect. The sanction of this article provides for imprisonment for a term of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment.
