Arrest Made Following Boryspil Shooting
A 29-year-old local man was arrested in Boryspil after a shooting incident inside a retail store and the surrounding area. While intoxicated, the suspect retrieved a handgun in the store, aimed at shelves containing alcohol, and fired a shot. He then went outside and discharged the weapon into the air before returning to the store and placing the gun on the counter. A customer then escorted him from the premises and handed him over to law enforcement officers.
The arrest was carried out under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility, and material evidence has been seized. He has been notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, concerning a gross violation of public order. Procedural guidance in the case is being handled by the Boryspil District Prosecutor's Office.
