Weapons Cache Uncovered in Danylivka
Law enforcement officers in the village of Danylivka have detained a local resident for illegal possession of grenades and ammunition. During a search of the suspect's own home, authorities seized the following items:
- Two F-1 grenades,
- Two UZRGM fuses,
- One F-1 grenade body with a UZRGM fuse installed.
Explosive ordnance disposal specialists were deployed to the scene. The detention was carried out under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code, and the suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. He faces a potential prison sentence of up to seven years for his actions. These incidents highlight the ongoing challenges of illegal weapons proliferation in communities across Ukraine.
Grenade Threat During Dispute in Irpin
Separately, in Irpin, a 28-year-old man has been arrested for threatening his former partner with a grenade. The altercation reportedly erupted over his demand for the return of a gifted mobile phone. A witness, an employee of a beauty salon, alerted the police to the incident. This case has generated significant public concern and underscores the severe danger posed by the use of hazardous items in personal disputes.
