Збірна України на зимових Олімпійських іграх 2026 року сформована: 103 атлета в одинадцяти дисциплінах.

Official Delegation Roster Confirmed

The official delegation roster for Ukraine's national team at the XXV Winter Olympic Games in 2026 has been approved. The delegation will consist of 103 individuals, including:

  • 46 athletes,
  • 42 coaches, doctors, massage therapists, and other technical staff,
  • 15 members of the national team's management staff.

The Winter Olympics will be held in Milan-Cortina, Italy, from February 6 to 22, 2026.

Participant Selection and Preparation

The official delegation was formed based on submissions from national Olympic sports federations, in accordance with international qualification standards and the national selection system. Ukraine will be represented in 11 sports disciplines. These include:

  • biathlon,
  • alpine skiing,
  • Nordic combined,
  • cross-country skiing,
  • luge,
  • skeleton,
  • snowboarding,
  • ski jumping,
  • freestyle skiing,
  • figure skating,
  • short track speed skating.

To date, the Ukrainian team has secured one Olympic quota, in skeleton. The sole quota was earned by the men's team leader, Vladyslav Heraskevych, who placed 11th in the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) qualification rankings following the final stage of the 2025/26 World Cup in Altenberg, Germany. Although 19-year-old Yaroslav Lavreniuk was also in contention for a second quota, his result was ultimately insufficient.

Vladyslav Heraskevych, who will be competing in his third Olympic Games, has already been selected as Ukraine's flag bearer for the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics. This comes as Ukraine continues its athletic pursuits on the global stage amidst ongoing challenges.

The selection of Vladyslav Heraskevych as flag bearer could serve as a symbol of hope and unity for Ukrainian athletes. It is crucial for the team to continue its active preparation and secure quotas in other sports before the competition begins, which would, in turn, enhance the chances for successful results.
