The investigation carried out by SAP and NABU revealed a scheme of misappropriating over 392 million UAH during road repairs in the Dnipropetrovsk region. It turned out that 5 individuals, including senior officials in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, were involved in this case. They fraudulently received funds that were supposed to be allocated for the maintenance of roads, but used them for other purposes.
The pre-trial investigation showed that the costs of road maintenance were inflated, and the contractor company excessively increased the cost of materials. As a result, the situation reached 1.5 billion UAH, of which over 392 million UAH were 'withdrawn' from the system through fake operations.

Currently, those involved in the embezzlement of funds for road repairs will be held accountable for their actions in accordance with the law. However, it should be noted that none of them can be considered guilty until their guilt is proven in court.
