Українська команда готується до змагань на зимових Олімпійських іграх 2026 року з участю 22 лижників і сноубордистів.

Ukraine's 2026 Winter Olympics Roster for Skiing and Snowboarding

Ukraine has finalized its team for the 2026 Winter Olympics, set to take place in Italy from February 6 to 22, 2026. A total of 22 athletes will compete, demonstrating the country's continued commitment to participation in the Winter Games. This comes as Ukraine seeks to build its presence in winter sports on the global stage.

The team features competitors across multiple disciplines. The cross-country skiing contingent includes:

  • Anastasiia Nikon
  • Sofiia Shkatula
  • Yelyzaveta Nopriienko
  • Daryna Mihal
  • Dmytro Drahun
  • Oleksandr Lisohor

Daryna Kovalova and Andrii Dotsenko may join the team if additional quota spots are secured.

Freestyle skiing and aerials will be represented by:

  • Anhelina Brykina
  • Diana Yablonska
  • Nelli Popovych
  • Oksana Yatsiuk
  • Dmytro Kotovskyi
  • Maksym Kuznetsov
  • Oleksandr Okypniuk
  • Yan Havriuk

Kateryna Kotsar will compete in freeski, with Orest Kovalenko as a potential addition pending an extra quota. Zakhar Maksymchuk is the reserve athlete for this discipline.

In snowboarding, Annamari Dancha will represent Ukraine. Nadiia Hapatyn and Mykhailo Kharuk could be added if further quota places become available.

The alpine skiing team consists of:

  • Anastasiia Shepilenko
  • Dmytro Shepiiuk

Taras Filiak and Maksym Mariichyn are listed as reserves. Ski jumping will feature Yevhen Marusiak and Vitalii Kalinichenko, with Karina Kozlova and Zhanna Hlukhova as potential additions subject to quota availability.

In a separate development, Ukraine has also secured one Olympic quota in skeleton for the 2026 Games. Men's team leader Vladyslav Heraskevych earned the sole spot for his country by placing 11th in the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation's qualification rankings following a World Cup stage in Altenberg. This highlights the diverse efforts of Ukrainian athletes to qualify across different winter sports.

This team composition reflects a growing interest in and support for winter sports within Ukraine, particularly in the context of Olympic preparation.

The successes of Ukrainian athletes in the qualification process, along with the potential for the team to expand with additional competitors, could influence the nation's overall performance at the Olympics. Given that winter sports have not traditionally been a central focus in Ukraine, fielding such a sizable team marks a significant step in the development of the country's sporting culture.
