The 2026 European Shooting Championships wrapped up in Osijek, Croatia, with Ukraine’s national shooting team bringing home an impressive haul of 17 medals. The event featured over 600 athletes from 40 countries, highlighting the fierce international competition on display.

Gold Medal Triumphs for the Ukrainian Squad

In the final days of the tournament, Ukraine added two gold medals to its tally. The men's team, consisting of Pavlo Korostylov, Maksym Horodynets, and Volodymyr Pasternak, claimed the championship title in the 25-meter center-fire pistol event. Additionally, Maria Sheinina secured gold in the junior women's 50-meter prone rifle competition. Volodymyr Pasternak also delivered an outstanding performance, winning gold in the 25-meter standard pistol event.

Another victory came from the men's team of Ihor Solovei, Viktor Bankin, and Oleh Omelchuk, who earned gold in the 50-meter free pistol discipline. In total, Ukraine’s senior squad collected 12 medals, while the junior team added five more to the overall count. Notably, Serhii Kulish took bronze in the 50-meter three-positions rifle event, and together with Dariia Dudka, he secured silver in the mixed team competition for the same distance.

This strong performance at the championships underscores the high level of training among Ukrainian athletes and their ability to compete on the global stage.
