The Ukrainian U-23 boxing team proved to be the strongest at the international tournament under the auspices of World Boxing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This information was provided with reference to the Base of Ukrainian sports.
In particular, the champions in their weight categories were Maksym Zymenko, Rasul Huliyev, Oleksandr Vaskо, Jamal Kuliyev, Artur Kasyanov, Mykola Laktinov, Vsevolod Rybalko, and Stanislav Tsurkan. Silver medals were won by Marina Shevchenko and Yevheniy Ivaniuk, while Tetyana Ivanova took home the bronze.
It should be noted that the best boxer of the tournament was recognized as Jamal Kuliyev, and Maksym Zymenko was awarded for the best final fight. The Ukrainian team also triumphed in the medal and team standings of the tournament.
The Ukrainian team's achievements also include a successful performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where they secured 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This is the second most successful performance by Ukrainian athletes at this event since they started participating in 1993.
