Our judokas continue to make us happy with medals! The Ukrainian judo team took third place in the overall medal standings of the European Cup among juniors held in Maribor. Mykhailo Solianik and Yaroslav Omelchenko won gold medals, while Maryhita Miroshnichenko and Semen Shvachov took silver, and Danylo Avramenko won bronze.
The successes of Ukrainian athletes are not limited to judo alone. At the European Youth Olympic Festival, our team won 23 medals: 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze. Judo turned out to be the most successful sport for Ukrainians at this festival, with six awards.
In addition to judo, Ukrainians achieved victories in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, gymnastics, and table tennis. Our athletes continue to surprise the world with their achievements!
At the Summer Universiade, the Ukrainian team also stood out, winning 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze. The best result was bronze in the 20 km race walk. Bravo, Ukrainian athletes!
