The Ukrainian national team in parawater sports won 49 medals at the World Championship 2025: results of the mundial

The Ukrainian team completed its participation in the world championship in parawater sports with an impressive result – 49 awards. Our athletes won 16 gold, 16 silver, and 17 bronze medals, which allowed us to take fourth place in the medal standings. The leaders were representatives of Italy, who won 46 awards, ahead of the USA and China.

Our athletes were 51 at the World Championship, and 19 of them returned home with awards. The most successful was Andrii Trusov, who won all four heats and set two championship records.



It is also worth noting that Ukraine shone brightly at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where it won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This result was the second in our history of achievements at festivals, with judo being the most successful discipline.



The World Summer Universiade also took place in Germany, where our team won a bronze medal thanks to Mykola Rushchak in the 20 km race walking. Overall, Ukraine ranked 14th with 12 medals.
