Ukraine's rugby league team impressed with their performances in group 'C' of the European Championship in Italy, achieving victories over the teams of Italy and Greece. These victories allowed the Ukrainian team to take the lead in the group and move up to a higher class for the next matches, competing in group 'B' at Euro.

Meanwhile, the FIS Council voted against allowing athletes in individual neutral status (AIN) to enter the qualifying competitions for the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan. This decision was made to avoid the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes due to their involvement in political conflicts.

Among the athletes barred from participating in the Winter Olympics is Russian speed skater Daniil Naidenishev, who, as a neutral athlete, supported the occupying aggression of Mikhail Lebedev against Ukraine on social media, causing outrage in the sports world.
