Ukraine became the champion of Europe in weightlifting among juniors: 9 medals

The Ukrainian weightlifting team has completed its participation in the U20 & U23 European Championship in Durres (Albania) with impressive results. Athlete Bohdan Hozy in the +110 kg weight category managed to win a gold medal in the clean and jerk and become the silver medalist in the overall results of the combined event. The success of the Ukrainian teams did not go unnoticed - the U20 women's team became the European champion, and the U20 men's team won bronze.

Ukrainian weightlifters together won 9 medals in the overall standings and 16 awards in the clean and jerk. Moreover, it is important to highlight the success at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where Ukraine impressively placed 10th in the medal standings, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This performance was the second most successful in the history of the country's participation in the Festivals since 1993. Extremely high results in judo and other sports testify to the great potential of Ukrainian sports and the talent of our athletes.
