The President of Ukraine instructed to modernize the drone distribution system
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, instructed to modernize the drone distribution system and develop changes to the air defense strategy. This decision is related to the situation on the front, where Russian invaders are trying to bypass Ukrainian defensive positions through the territory of Belarus, using strike drones daily.
Zelensky, during a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, emphasized the need to modernize the drone distribution system.
“I instructed the First Deputy Prime Minister together with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the command of our unmanned systems to modernize the drone distribution system,” he stated. The President also stressed the importance of providing additional capabilities for Ukrainian units in protecting infrastructure and front-line positions.
Changes to the air defense strategy
The General Staff, together with the Ministry of Defense, are to work on changes to the air defense strategy.
“This is an absolute contempt for human lives, and it is important that they stop playing with this in Minsk,” Zelensky added, emphasizing the seriousness of the threat posed to Ukraine amid active military actions by Russia.
Modernization of the drone distribution system and changes in the air defense strategy are critically important steps to enhance Ukraine's defense capability. In light of active attacks from Russia, particularly the use of drones, these measures can significantly affect the Armed Forces' ability to respond effectively to threats. Increasing the level of protection and the effectiveness of using drone technologies will be a crucial element in ensuring the safety of the country and its citizens.
