Президент України відзначив підрозділи безпілотників нагородами за відвагу та службу.

Ukrainian President Recognizes Unmanned Systems Forces

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed decrees awarding two units of the Unmanned Systems Forces the honorary distinction 'For Courage and Valor.' These honors recognize the critical role these units play in safeguarding the nation, particularly amid the ongoing conflict.

Decrees No. 486 and No. 487, published on the official presidential website, formalize the recognitions. Under Decree No. 486, the 414th Separate Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces, known as 'Madar's Birds,' received the state award. This brigade has achieved numerous successes in deploying drone technology during military operations.

Decree No. 487 granted the same honorary distinction to the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces. This recognition underscores the vital work these units perform to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities.

Unmanned Systems Forces Day

Notably, on June 11, 2026, Ukraine will celebrate the first Unmanned Systems Forces Day, further highlighting the importance of these units in modern warfare. The awards serve as a testament to their courage and valor in contemporary combat conditions.

These honors reflect the strategic significance of unmanned systems in today's military conflicts and acknowledge the contributions these units make to national defense. Official recognition of military achievements in this field can boost troop morale and encourage further development of drone technologies in Ukraine.

The recent awards bestowed by President Zelenskyy not only honor the bravery of the Unmanned Systems Forces but also coincide with the upcoming celebration of a new holiday for drone units. This event is set to highlight the increasing significance of drone technology in Ukraine's defense strategy, making it a pivotal moment for the nation's military efforts.
