New Ministerial Appointments in Ukraine
Ukraine's government has announced the appointments of Yevhen Khmar as Acting Minister of Defense and Andriy Sybiha as Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs. “We are also reorganizing the structure of ministries in line with parliamentary decisions. We are restoring the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, creating a dedicated Ministry for Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons. We have separated the areas of economy and environment and recovery, as well as infrastructure and transport,” Koretskyi stated.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has outlined the primary focus for the new administration: preparing for the winter season. He tasked Yevhen Khmar with acting as Ukraine's defense minister and discussed with him the execution of long-range Ukrainian operations against Russia, as well as equipping the Defense Forces with necessary resources. After legal procedures are finalized, Khmar's candidacy will be presented to parliament for approval.
