Discussion of key issues with Donald Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed key issues of negotiations with Donald Trump during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The discussion took place on December 28 in the USA and concerned Russian attempts to disrupt diplomacy, as well as Ukraine's steps to ensure security.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of the results of the meeting with Trump and his team in Florida. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, also stated during the negotiations about progress in developing a peace agreement. This demonstrates Ukraine's active efforts in the diplomatic process.

The President of Ukraine stressed that Ukraine is doing everything possible to achieve peace. Zelensky also noted that ‘Moscow is trying to disrupt diplomacy and justify the prolongation of the war’, pointing to the constant threats from Russia.
