Zelensky urged the USA to respond to signals about Russia's plans for war in 2026
It is time to take the threats seriously! President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that new signals from Russia suggest that they are planning to continue the war in 2026. So, Zelensky calls on our American friends and other supporting states not only to acknowledge these threats but also to actively respond to them to counter the aggression from Moscow.
“Today we heard again from Moscow how they are preparing to celebrate war activities next year. And this is important not only for us. Finally, partners need to see this. And they not only need to see but also respond,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to the president, although the Russians claimed they were ready to end the conflict, their rhetoric and actions indicate quite the opposite. In reality, the cards on the table remain to be played.
“There must be a clear response to Russian cunning. And when they are set like this, they will try deceptive moves or diplomatic maneuvers to delay our existence, justifying their aggressive intentions,” Zelensky emphasized.
A real defense against Russian aggression is needed
The President of Ukraine also highlighted the need for real steps to protect against Russian aggression, stating that specific security, financial, and political solutions are necessary.
