Moscow's Plans for New Military Operations

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has disclosed that Russia is preparing fresh offensive operations and intends to expand its mobilization efforts. According to intelligence reports, the Russian political leadership is moving to call up more troops, as specific documents from the Russian General Staff confirm they are unable to meet their assigned objectives. Zelensky noted that irrecoverable losses among occupying forces now account for approximately 60% of total casualties.

Supreme Commander-in-Chief Meeting

Zelensky convened a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where he heard a briefing from HUR chief Oleh Ivashchenko. Three key topics were discussed:

  • Ground robotic systems (GRS)
  • Defense against ballistic weapons
  • Intelligence reports on the state of the Russian Federation’s economy

Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine’s defense forces have more than doubled the range of deep strikes into Russian rear areas, now reaching roughly 1,750 kilometers, compared to 630 kilometers in 2022.

Ukraine’s objectives include raising the percentage of irrecoverable losses inflicted on the occupier, thickening the drone line along the front, and scaling up long-range sanctions targeting Russian weapons production and the oil industry. Zelensky also stated:

'We will inform our partners about Moscow’s further development of plans for operations against NATO countries, as well as attempts to drag Belarus more deeply into carrying out Russian tasks.' Volodymyr Zelensky

These findings indicate that Russia’s aggressive policy continues, and Ukraine must adapt its strategies in response.

As Russian offensive actions and mobilization intensify, it is critical for Ukraine to maintain the strategic initiative and respond to shifting frontline conditions. The growing range of Ukrainian strikes reflects adaptation and technological progress that could significantly alter the conflict’s trajectory. Close cooperation with international partners also remains essential for ensuring defense capabilities and support amid ongoing threats from Russia.

In light of the escalating military activities, it is essential to examine the recent advancements in Ukraine's defense capabilities. Notably, Zelensky's approval of 25,000 ground robots and new air defense missiles highlights Ukraine's commitment to enhancing its military strength in response to Russian threats. This strategic focus aims to bolster defensive measures as the situation continues to evolve.
