President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed three key documents transmitted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 15, 2025. In his announcement on social media, the head of state noted:
'I have immediately signed the documents submitted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: the law on multiple citizenship, the ratification of the Agreement on the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression by Russia against Ukraine, and the suspension of the Ottawa Convention on anti-mine legislation for Ukraine.'
Zelensky explained the strategic significance of each of the adopted decisions. Regarding multiple citizenship, the president emphasized: 'Thanks to multiple citizenship, we will be able to create more real legal foundations for the unity of our great nation - millions of Ukrainians on all continents, as well as representatives of other nations who have tied their fate to Ukraine.'
As for the establishment of the special tribunal, the head of state noted that 'thanks to the tribunal and cooperation with countries around the world and international organizations, we will be able to ensure real inevitability of punishment for Russia for its war against Ukraine.'
The signing of these documents has important strategic significance for Ukraine, allowing to strengthen the legal basis for the unity of the Ukrainian people and to ensure punishment for Russia's aggression against the country.
