President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he expects a positive result from the combat use of the Ukrainian ballistic missile in the autumn of 2026. At the same time, he did not specify either the timing or the scale of possible use of such weapons. This is reported by Ukrainian Truth.
Ukrainian ballistic missiles may be used in the autumn
During the telethon, Zelensky was asked about the statements of the Fire Point company regarding the possible use of Ukrainian ballistic missiles this autumn. The President replied that such forecasts should be believed.
According to him, the mass use of the missile will depend not only on Ukraine. The production requires specific components from other countries, and thus the pace of supplies will be determined by contracts, payments, and the readiness of partners.
The President emphasized that he relies on positive combat use and results. At the same time, his words do not mean the announcement of the beginning of massive strikes with ballistic missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The ballistic system was tested in July
In July, then Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov reported on the successful testing of the Ukrainian ballistic system. According to him, the technical task of the project was changed to achieve maximum accuracy, and the development cost was reduced by 30%.
Fedorov announced the tests on the day of the government's resignation, July 14. At the same time, the characteristics of the missile, its range, name, and production volumes were not publicly disclosed.
