Meeting of US President's Advisors with Russian Representative

The meeting of US President Donald Trump's advisors with the Russian representative took place in Paris to discuss a peace plan for settlement in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as leaders from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, participated in the negotiations. The main focus during the meeting was on security guarantees for Ukraine and possible territorial concessions from Kyiv in eastern Donbas.

Readiness of the Security Guarantees Agreement

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the agreement between the USA and Ukraine on security guarantees is actually ready for finalization. He also reported that Ukraine was informed about the USA's intention to begin interaction with Russia regarding the current proposal. The planned possibility of Zelensky's visit to the USA next week for a meeting with Trump could become an important step in finalizing the agreement.

This meeting is a significant milestone in the peaceful settlement process of the conflict in Ukraine, as it may lead to the signing of a security agreement that will significantly impact stability in the region. Security guarantees from the USA may strengthen Ukraine's position on the international stage and improve prospects for lasting peace. The discussion of territorial issues also shows that the participants in the negotiations are seeking compromises that may be necessary to achieve the desired outcome.
