Address by Volodymyr Zelensky
On January 13, Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the preparation of documents regarding security guarantees and the restoration of cooperation with the USA, as well as the situation in Ukraine on the 1420th day of full-scale war. Despite the ongoing armed aggressions from Russia, the president emphasized the importance of international support and the necessity of strengthening strategic partnership with America.
In his address yesterday, Zelensky noted that Russia launched an attack on Ukraine, using 18 ballistic missiles, as well as cruise missiles and attack drones. As a result of these attacks, 64 Shahed drones were shot down, indicating active actions by Ukrainian air defense. The president stressed that in January, not enough has been done to ensure an adequate level of security in the country.
'The regime that has existed in Russia for so many years and has killed so many people does not deserve to exist.'

The Need for International Support
Zelensky also expressed confidence that it is important for the US administration to have as many tools as possible for proper pressure on the aggressor. The issues discussed at the Staff include:
- air defense
- production of interceptors
- provision of necessary resources to support Ukraine in wartime
The situation in Ukraine remains tense as Russia continues its aggressive actions, threatening the country's security and the lives of its citizens. The president's address emphasizes the importance of international support, especially from the USA, in the fight against the external aggressor. The preparation of documents regarding security guarantees and restoration of cooperation may be an important step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and ensuring stability in the region.
