Russian troops struck Ukraine: Zelensky calls for defense
Last night, Russian occupiers carried out one of the strongest attacks on Ukrainian territory during the current invasion. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on social media that the enemy launched 537 air assaults.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine revealed the scale of the attack: Russian troops fired 477 strike drones of the Shahed type and various modifications of imitation drones from multiple directions. Ukrainian defense stopped 475 attacks by enemy troops. In the air battles, Ukrainian pilot F-16 Maksym Ustymenko was the first to be shot down, having destroyed seven enemy aerial targets.
Zelensky: 'Moscow will not stop as long as it can carry out mass attacks. Putin decided long ago to continue the war despite calls for peace from the global community.'
The president urged to enhance Ukraine's air defense and seek support from the USA, Europe, and other allies.
Yesterday's attack by Russian troops underscored the threat to Ukraine and the need for international support in the rapid defense of the country against the enemy.
