Negotiations between Zelensky and Trump
On December 28, negotiations took place between Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump. During the meeting, the parties discussed a joint plan for resolving the conflict, which is currently in the final stage of preparation. The document, consisting of 20 points, is 90% agreed upon. Zelensky also noted that Ukraine is using some weapons purchased from America.
Donald Trump, in turn, expressed readiness to visit Ukraine and speak before the Verkhovna Rada. He confirmed strong security guarantees for Ukraine, which is an important step in strengthening bilateral relations between the countries. Given the current situation, support from the U.S. is critically important for Ukraine, as emphasized by Zelensky in his comments.
This meeting reaffirms the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the U.S. in the context of countering Russia, as well as the importance of international support for ensuring security and stability in the region.
