Plans for Peace Negotiations
Volodymyr Zelensky has announced plans for negotiations to achieve peace, which include meetings with European leaders and waiting for a call from the President of the United States. The President of Ukraine noted that in the coming days there will be 'rapid work' aimed at reaching a peace agreement, in which the participation of the USA plays an important role.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of the meeting with European leaders, stating:
'We will try to unite everyone somewhere in Europe.' - Volodymyr ZelenskyIt is expected that the USA will also join these meetings, which may contribute to a constructive dialogue.
'We will do everything to have a constructive meeting in the USA at the level of leaders and the President of the United States.' - Volodymyr Zelensky
Necessity of a Referendum
To adopt a peace agreement, according to Zelensky, it is necessary to hold a referendum. However, it is worth noting that the Russian Federation shows no desire for a ceasefire. The martial law in Ukraine, according to the President, will end after the conclusion of the Russian-Ukrainian war. In the context of these events, Ukraine continues to seek ways to peace through diplomatic efforts.
Ukraine's efforts towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict with Russia underscore the country's commitment to restoring stability and security in the region. Involvement of international partners, particularly the USA and European leaders, may become a decisive factor in achieving compromise. At the same time, the lack of willingness from Russia for dialogue complicates the situation, indicating ongoing tensions in the region and the need for further efforts from Ukraine and the international community.
