Ukrainian President Zelenskyy Holds Joint Press Conference with Dutch Prime Minister

During a press conference in Kyiv with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined Russia's strategic objectives. He stated that the Kremlin's primary goal for its anticipated spring offensive remains the full seizure of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Zelenskyy also noted that Russia is considering strikes in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and the area between Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. This assessment comes as Ukraine continues to face a multi-front war of aggression.

Despite the enemy's plans, Zelenskyy highlighted positive results for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).

"Their plans have not changed. There is only a delay because they are unable to implement them with the forces and means they have today, and because of the actions of our defense forces," he stated.
Over the past month and a half, the UAF have successfully regained control of 400-435 square kilometers of territory in southern Ukraine.

Dutch Financial Aid and Specialist Training Initiatives

The press conference also covered significant support from the Netherlands. The Dutch government has committed to providing Ukraine with annual aid of 3 billion euros and is participating in the PURL program.

"The Netherlands has supported us from the first days of the war and in many dimensions. This includes defense support, aid for our energy sector, support for sanctions against Russia, and political support for Ukraine," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Furthermore, an initiative was announced to begin training specialists from Gulf countries in countering drones. The first group of Ukrainian experts and military personnel will depart for these countries tomorrow, signaling an intensification of international security cooperation. These measures are crucial for strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities amidst Russia's ongoing aggression. The Netherlands stands as a key ally, with its continued financial and military assistance proving critical for Ukraine's efforts to reclaim occupied territories.

This joint briefing underscores the vital importance of sustained international backing for Ukraine. Collaborative efforts, such as the joint training program on drone warfare, reflect growing global security partnerships that can positively impact Ukraine's future resilience.
