Discussion on Ukraine's security

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed issues of security and support for Ukraine with US President Donald Trump. In his interview with Fox News, Zelensky emphasized that without military assistance from the United States, Ukraine would not be able to effectively defend its airspace and achieve victory. He also noted that a scenario of Ukraine withdrawing from Donbas and other occupied territories is unacceptable.

Trump's meeting with Netanyahu

Trump's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took place at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The key topics of negotiations were:

  • implementation of a peace plan for Gaza
  • disarmament of Hamas
  • Israel's concerns regarding Iran

At the same time, Trump reported a strike on Venezuelan territory, which he called a 'drug trafficking hub'.

On the night of December 30, explosions occurred in Odesa and Kharkiv. The threat of ballistic missiles and drones was recorded on Tuesday night, highlighting the relevance of the discussed security issues.

The discussion between Zelensky and Trump underscores the importance of international support for Ukraine amid current security threats. The explosions in Odesa and Kharkiv indicate a continuation of military escalation in the region and emphasize the need to strengthen the country's defense capabilities. In conditions of instability, it is crucial for Ukraine to receive appropriate support from its international partners.
