The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, held a meeting of the Stakeholders on October 20, 2025, where key issues of energy security, military support, and international diplomacy were discussed. The main focus was on restoring energy infrastructure and providing Ukraine with necessary equipment.
According to the head of state, active diplomatic work to obtain equipment for repairs and electricity generation will take place this week. 'Clear tasks for our diplomats,' said Zelensky.
Particular attention was paid to gas supply for the heating season. The president thanked the repair teams and Ukrainian gas workers who 'almost work around the clock for Ukraine.' Half of the necessary funds for the purchase of gas have already been secured, the government will find the rest according to the received instruction.
Focus on Increasing Aviation Defense
During the Stakeholders' meeting, the increase in the aviation component of defense was discussed. Zelensky announced that Ukraine will receive more combat capabilities for aviation to protect infrastructure, including additional helicopters.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, reported on energy issues and agreements with Slovakia following her visit to that country. 'Good agreements with Slovakia after the visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine. I am grateful for this,' said the president.
Ukraine is working on energy projects with the USA. The United States shows significant interest in joint work in nuclear generation, as well as regarding gas and oil. 'Ukrainian infrastructure can provide more energy security for the entire region, America is clearly interested in this,' emphasized Zelensky.
