President Volodymyr Zelensky announced significant changes in funding for Ukrainian military brigades in his evening address on August 11. He emphasized that these changes are aimed at improving the technical support for combat units.
'As for pickups and other equipment – we have decided. We will provide the brigades with the necessary funds directly, as well as the opportunity to purchase exactly the pickups, ATVs, and other equipment they need,'- said Zelensky.
One of the main changes is the increase in direct funding for combat brigades. The President announced the allocation of 7 million for each battalion participating in combat operations. These funds will allow the brigades to independently purchase drones and other combat equipment.
