The $12 Trillion 'Dmitriev Package' Proposal

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has disclosed intelligence revealing a Russian economic cooperation proposal to the United States, known as the 'Dmitriev Package,' valued at approximately $12 trillion. The document was prepared by Kirill Dmitriev, a special envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This information was shared during a closed-door briefing for journalists, which included a representative from the 'Glavcom' publication. Such massive economic proposals are rare and indicate a significant geopolitical maneuver.

Ukraine's Stance on the International Stage

During negotiations in Abu Dhabi, Ukraine reaffirmed its positions regarding the Donbas issue. The American side raised questions about a potential free economic zone. Zelenskyy noted that while he is not privy to all details of bilateral economic or business agreements, intelligence provided information on the 'Dmitriev Package.' The President emphasized that Ukraine will not support any potential deals concluded without its participation and clearly articulated its position on sovereignty and security.

Zelenskyy also pointed to various signals in the media suggesting that issues related to Ukraine might be discussed within the context of such bilateral documents. He stressed the critical importance of Ukraine's participation in any negotiations affecting its interests. This stance underscores the country's determination to be a principal actor in its own future, especially amidst ongoing regional tensions.

This revelation highlights the significance of Ukraine's position in international economic and political processes, as any agreements concerning Ukraine must account for its interests and sovereignty. In the context of global shifts and pressure from Russia, Ukraine must actively defend its interests internationally and engage partners willing to support its position. The existence of a $12 trillion economic package also points to the seriousness of Russian and American intentions, which could have a substantial impact on regional stability.
