The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the country aims to receive at least one billion dollars monthly from allies for the purchase of American weapons, which are key in the confrontation with Russia. This will help maintain the combat capabilities of the army and strengthen positions on the front.
During a joint press conference with Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Zelensky noted that Norway's participation in the PURL program opens up opportunities for stable supplies of weapons from the USA. 'Norway has joined the PURL program, which allows the purchase of weapons from the USA and to fill this program with at least a billion dollars every month,' he emphasized.
Zelensky also underscored the importance of developing Ukrainian drone manufacturing and attracting investments into joint defense projects. He added that investments could help in forcing Russia to end the conflict, not only physically but also politically.
Moreover, Zelensky announced 'surprises' for the occupiers and spoke about possible strikes deep into Russia.
