Zelensky spoke about the fight against Russian attacks


Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the country is doing everything possible to protect its peaceful cities from mass Russian attacks. The evening address of the head of state was made public on July 12, reports 'Gromadske'.



Zelensky noted that Ukraine is trying to obtain new means to shoot down drones and missiles, and is also concluding agreements on 'Patriot' systems and domestically produced interceptor drones. He also announced the continuation of drone operations on Russian territory in response to attacks from the neighboring country.



«And as always, we will act asymmetrically – and this is effective,» he emphasized.


A day of mourning was also declared in Chernivtsi for the victims of the Russian shelling that occurred on the night of July 12. As a result of this attack, two people were killed, and another 26 were injured, with significant damage to civilian infrastructure.



According to Zelensky, Russian troops used 26 missiles and 597 drones during the attack on Ukrainian territory, which covered most of the country. More than half of the drones were 'Shaheds'.



The Ukrainian president spoke about the measures that Ukraine is taking to protect its cities from Russian attacks, including concluding agreements on new defense systems and an asymmetric response to aggression.
