On the night of September 28, Russia struck various cities in Ukraine, resulting in over 80 people injured. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that four people were killed, including one child. Most strikes targeted civilian objects, including residential buildings.
Kyiv suffered particularly severe consequences, with 32 locations destroyed, including the Institute of Cardiology, where two people died and the building sustained serious damage. Zaporizhzhia also suffered from an 'extremely severe' strike, with several dozen people injured.
Zelensky noted that every day during the UN General Assembly, Russia was striking Ukraine. He also urged Europe to exert pressure on Russia through sanctions and revealed evidence of Russian tankers using drones against European countries.
Zelensky also talked about consultations with partner countries and the PURL program, which allows the purchase of American weapons. The Russian missile strike caused a total blackout in Belgorod, where electricity, water, and communication are absent.
