Zelensky criticizes critics at a closed briefing: what was discussed with the faction

President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his dissatisfaction with Ukrainian politicians, journalists, and public figures during a closed meeting with the 'Servant of the People' faction, stating that they do not contribute to a positive image of Ukraine before Western partners.



According to two deputies, the conversation was tense, and the president's speech sounded like a tirade against those he called 'against Ukraine.'


Zelensky sharply criticizes statements about corruption and human rights violations, believing that they distract attention from the army and external support. His management style has caused discontent among some members of 'Servant of the People,' who consider his decisions questionable.



Negative attitude towards personnel decisions and restrictions


In addition to criticizing the political class, negative attitudes towards personnel decisions, which led to the resignations of popular figures, have increased. New restrictions, including a ban on leaving the country for some diplomats, indicate a tightening of political control.



'Within the party, there is growing fear that any dissent is perceived as 'working for the enemy',' the interlocutors note.


Is strict control a threat to democracy in Ukraine, even supporters of Zelensky start to question. The president stands by his strategy and intends to participate in upcoming elections, but more and more questions arise regarding the preservation of democratic values.
