Diplomatic Talks and Support for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has voiced his hope that local councils run by the Reform UK party will restore Ukrainian flags to municipal buildings. In an interview with The Guardian, Zelenskyy stressed that both nations need each other in the fight against Russia. On June 7, Zelenskyy held talks in London with Starmer, Macron, and Merz. Following the meeting, the leaders of the four countries issued a joint statement in which Britain, France, and Germany laid out five conditions for peace in Ukraine. These conditions include a call for Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to an immediate and full ceasefire.
