Press conference of the presidents of Ukraine and France

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of France Emmanuel Macron held a press conference in Paris, where they discussed diplomatic efforts to end the war, security guarantees, and the situation at the front. Zelensky noted that a critically important stage of negotiations is currently underway, which can significantly influence the further development of events.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian delegation held negotiations in America, and tomorrow a representative of the U.S. president will visit Russia. Zelensky refuted the statements of Russian propaganda about the successes of the occupiers in Kharkiv region, emphasizing that heavy fighting continues on the front, particularly in the Pokrovsk direction. He also noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are achieving greater success in the Kupyansk direction.

Diplomatic efforts and the situation at the front

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that 'these are special days when a lot can really change'. Emmanuel Macron, in turn, pointed out that when it comes to security guarantees, they should involve Ukrainians. The President of Ukraine also remarked that 'Russia has advancements, there are several offensive actions and several operations, none of these operations have been successful', adding that 'Russia claims that it has captured Kupyansk, while we have almost cleared all of them from this city.'

This meeting confirms the importance of international diplomacy in times of war and attempts to engage international partners in ensuring peace and security in the region. The diplomatic efforts of both countries can be decisive in the context of enhancing security in Europe and supporting Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty.

High-level negotiations, which take place against the backdrop of active hostilities, highlight the need for coordinated international actions to achieve stability in the region.
