Phone conversation between the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Norway
On December 21, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. During this conversation, issues of pressure on Russia, Ukraine's recovery after strikes, as well as the country’s energy resilience were discussed.
The Prime Minister of Norway confirmed Norway's readiness to assist Ukraine in these matters. Zelensky noted that it is important for the negotiations to achieve constructiveness and emphasized that much depends on Russia feeling the need to genuinely end the war. He also expressed concern about negative signals from Russia, stressing that the world must not remain silent about these actions.
International Support for Ukraine
This conversation took place against the backdrop of the active work of the Ukrainian diplomatic team in Florida with the American side, indicating the continued efforts of Ukraine to strengthen international support.
The involvement of Norway in supporting Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia highlights the importance of an international coalition in the fight for the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Interaction with countries that share common values and interests is critically important for increasing pressure on the aggressor and ensuring energy security.
The Ukrainian diplomacy continues to actively work on strengthening international ties, which may contribute to new initiatives in resolving the conflict.
