In Kup'yansk, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskiy met with soldiers and congratulated them on the Day of the Ground Forces. This was reported by 'Glavcom' referring to the President's Office.
The head of state visited the forward command post of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great, where he listened to the commander's report on the operational situation in the brigade’s area of responsibility and the joint actions with other units regarding the fulfillment of defense tasks.

The meeting also highlighted the unsuccessful attempts of Russian troops to enter the city of Kup'yansk, as well as the disinformation used by the Russian command.
Acknowledgment of the soldiers
During the meeting, President Zelensky thanked the soldiers for their service and awarded them state honors, including the orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the I and III degrees and 'For Courage' of I–III degrees.
Zelensky expressed gratitude for the selfless service of the soldiers and emphasized the importance of their contribution to the defense of Ukraine. He also noted the significance of achieving results on the front for successful Ukrainian diplomacy.
Results of the struggle
Russian troops are suffering losses during attempts to establish control in Kup'yansk, while Ukrainian defenders continue their victorious struggle. The propaganda efforts of the Russian Federation to spread disinformation about the situation in the city are failing.
The head of the communication department of the Joint Forces Group noted that Russian troops have overestimated their capabilities and are suffering losses in battles.
