Meeting of the President of Ukraine and the President of the USA
On December 28, 2025, a meeting took place at Mar-a-Lago between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump. Final decisions on the peace settlement documents are planned to be made in January 2026. Karol Nawrocki emphasized the importance of involving all interested parties in decision-making about peace and security in the region. Dutch Prime Minister Schoof stated that now Russia must demonstrate its willingness to end the war and engage in serious negotiations for a just and lasting peace.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place against the backdrop of an intensification of international efforts for the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. The agreement on a significant portion of the peace plan is an important step towards ending the war.
