Zelensky and Trump agreed on 90% of the peace plan: results of negotiations in Mar-a-Lago

Negotiations between the Presidents of Ukraine and the USA

The negotiations between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump, which took place at the Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, concluded with significant results regarding the peace plan and cooperation with Europe. The duration of the negotiations was 2 hours and 40 minutes, during which a 20-point plan was agreed upon by 90%. Security guarantees from the US comprised 100%, while guarantees from the US and Europe were agreed at 90%. As for the military dimension, it also stands at 100%.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that

“the 20-point plan has been agreed upon at 90%”
and expressed hope to finalize the agreements in the coming weeks. Donald Trump, for his part, commented that the issue of Donbas has not yet been resolved but expressed hope for its resolution in the future. He also noted that
“the Russian Federation still wants to seize territories in the coming months, so we need to hurry with the peace agreement”
.

The Green Plan and Active Participation of the USA

The Green Plan involves active participation from the American working group on Ukraine, which will include:

  • Secretary of State Rubio
  • Defense Minister Hegset
  • Special Representative Witkoff
  • Advisor Kushner
  • General Cain

Trump also held a phone conversation with Putin that lasted over 2.5 hours, during which issues related to Ukraine and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, where 5,000 employees work, were discussed.

Zelensky emphasized that

“we can use it for the plan, or the parliament will vote”
. In conclusion, the President of Ukraine hopes that a decision regarding all documents related to the peace process will be made in January.

This meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and the USA is an important step towards achieving peace in Ukraine, especially in the context of the ongoing conflict in Donbas. Given the large number of agreed points in the plan, further negotiations may significantly impact stability in the region, as well as Ukraine's relations with European partners. An important aspect is also the active role of the USA in this process, which could become the basis for deeper international support for Ukraine in the future.
