Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov regarding drone production and measures to protect the country. It was noted that there are plans to increase the production and supply of drones for the armed forces, as well as the implementation of unconventional measures to support national defense.
«First – contracting and production of drones. I instructed to contract all available volumes of priority types of drones, and we are working separately with European partners on financing. This year we should achieve significantly higher production and supply indicators of drones to the armed forces than was planned. We are also preparing unconventional steps to support our defense – expanding the geography of such support», – said the president.
Zelensky also announced planned changes in government institutions to improve the positive dynamics in relations with the United States. The previous Ukrainian ambassador to the U.S. may be replaced by the Minister of Defense, and the question of the further involvement of the released ambassador in the team remains open.
The President of Ukraine intends to increase the production and supply of drones for the armed forces and implement new measures to support national defense. Changes in the diplomatic service composition are also planned, which may affect Ukraine's relationships with its global partners.
