Address of the President of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainians with a Christmas greeting on Christmas Eve, December 24, condemning the Russian shelling ahead of the holiday. This year marks the fourth consecutive year that Ukrainians are celebrating Christmas amid a full-scale war.

In his address, Zelensky noted that just before Christmas, the 'Ruskies' once again showed who they really are. He emphasized that the massive shelling, hundreds of Shaheds, ballistic missiles, and 'Kinzhal' missiles reflect the godlessness of the aggressor.

"This is how the godless strike. This is what those do who have absolutely nothing in common with Christianity and anything human," he said.

A Shared Dream of Ukrainians

The President also expressed a shared dream of Ukrainians for this Christmas.

"Today, we all have the same dream. And the wish we make is one for all. 'May he perish,' each will say for themselves, but when we turn to God, of course, we ask for something broader. We ask for peace for Ukraine," Zelensky added.

The President's address in the context of the festive period emphasizes not only the importance of Christmas for Ukrainians but also reflects the deep emotions and experiences the country is facing amid the war. Military actions and shelling at this time of year give the address special significance, as it reflects a hope for peace and the shared dreams of Ukrainians for a better future, which, despite the difficulties, remains relevant in the hearts of people.
